Palma - long weekend in October

I've booked a surprise trip for DH and teenage kids in late October. We like eating and mooching and it looks the ideal place but has anyone got any restaurant recommendations or suggestions of 'must see' places? We won't have a car but we are in central Palma near the cathedral. Santa Catalina market is already on our list.

Thanks in advance 😄

It's lovely. It's quite hard to eat badly especially if you follow the locals at tapas time. The train up to soller is lively if the weather is good.

Great seafood.

Ooh lovely! Can't remember any particular restaurants, but we didn't struggle to find places. If you have time, the train out to Soller is lovely (assuming it runs all year round!)

Ohh..lucky you! We had a fantastic time in Palma, such a beautiful city.
It is touristy but take a look into a bar called Abaco, it is stunning but expensive. we are in a very nice steak restaurant around the corner from there. Have fun!

Walk along the seafront to Portixol and have a seafood lunch/dinner at Ola del Mar. It was the best meal we had when we went there (even better than the Michelin star place).

Train to Soller and then tram to Port de Soller. Beautiful little bay with lots of restaurants and bays. We had lunch at Kingfisher - delicious food and beautiful views.

Walked to Bellver Castle - very good views up there, and some displays about the history of Palma.

We went in august and loved it! We did pretty much exactly what you plan to do and it was perfect.
We're vegan so our restaurant recommendations might not be what you're after but we are so well and we're spoilt for choice.
I would recommend Bagel for breakfast it was amazing.
