Has anyone been?

What was the weather like?

Is it too risky this year because of the hurricane?

Watching with interest. We're thinking of going next year.

I think October is the end of hurricane season, so the last week of the month will more than likely be ok.

Or look at the Pacific coast of Mexico (puerto vallarta) no hurricanes over there for about 40 years! Beautiful place too.

Been to csncun twice in October. Weather fine. Some heavy rain showers that last 10 mins then the ground is bone dry again.

Agree that the pacific coast of mexico would be a safer bet - it is about a 2 hr longer flight though I think. Another option would be Barbados which is too far south of the hurricane belt.
