Normandy recommendations

Hi everyone. I'm looking for recommendations on where to stay in Normandy. We want to be within easy reach of the beaches and museums and Bayeux Tapestry etc. Happy to be inland and want to be in the countryside. Any ideas anyone? Thanks so much.

we stayed in Arromanches. Worked perfectly for all the things you mention.
Stayed at Hotel Les Villas d'Arromanches. Brilliant B&B, very comfortable, you can walk into town/to the beach in 5 minutes.
20 min drive to Bayeux.

Chateau de Montfreville is located a few miles from Isigny sur Mer, which we found to be ideally based for all the attractions. We even got to Mont St Michel and Cherbourg from here, both about 45 minutes.

Have stayed here, also in the adjacent gite, here, also a February stay here. As you can see we're fans of Gites de France.
