Dominican Republic - First time travelling with my daughter...

Hi all, this is my first ever post so please be patient with me if I accidentally muck it up! Blush

I'm looking for some advice from a few mummies with travelling experience. My husband, daughter and myself will be jetting off to the Dominican Republic next April and I'm just wondering what your absolute MUST HAVE's for going on holiday with a baby would be? My little girl will be roughly nine months when we go (I know I know, not ideal - was supposed to be our honeymoon but we pushed it back a year because I was seven months pregnant when we got married!).

I want to get a travel cot with a built in mosquito net, but has anyone else got any suggestions? Smile

Sorry for the long post, any advice is much appreciated!!

It's very hot there. Be prepared to spend lot of time indoors in the aircon. Is there a nanny facility?
Check what has baby needs and what insect repellent she can use. Us it a zika area?
Stomach remedies for yourself, dom rep is well known for bad tummies.
Have a great time!

Thanks so much for your reply! Unfortunately it IS a zika area, which is why we didn't risk going when I was pregnant. We've been speaking to our doctors and the travel agents and they've been recommending what we can do for our girl in regards to immunisations and the like.
I'll look into baby-safe repellent!

Remember you also need the jabs and 24/7 real insect repellent against dengue etc.
