Planning Surprise Weekend in Paris

DH and I will be celebrating our anniversary in early December. I'd like to book a surprise weekend away. DH is a teacher, so we can only go Friday evening to Sunday night.

I've never been to Paris, and although it's a cliche, I'd like to go! Plus there's the added advantage of being quite close to home (we're in London).

Any advice of how to make the most of such a short time? I want it to be as relaxed and romantic as possible!

I would Euro shuttle it. Bit more money but saves time getting to LHR or LGW. Less chance of delays due to snow etc.
Nice bottle of something on the train.
Book a hotel near to something of note ( most sucessful have been places near Louvre and Notre Dame) and preferably near the river. That way you don't have to trek miles to visit at least one place!

Do a Seine cruise. Much the most romantic way to see Paris.

Book lunch or dinner up the Eifel tower. You get the view, lovely food and no queues.

Don't " do" too much. You are going after work and back to work Monday so you want your partner to feel relaxed. Lovely idea.
