July weather in Sardinia or Lesbos (Greece)

Thinking of going to one of these places next summer but worried they might be boiling hot. Have looked at the various holiday weather websites which say they've got highs of around 30C, but my impression of both places is that they are scorching in the summer.

Any experiences? We'd be right on the coast in either place - is it wishful thinking that it'll be a bit cooler there?

I looked at the weather for this July in Sardinia and it was 40C Shock
Luckily we are going on Thursday and it's a much more manageable 30C Grin

We went to Sardinia one year at the very end of June. Was soooo hot. We had 2 dc with us and couldn't go to the beach till about 4 pm.
The locals did say it was slightly early to be that hot due to the mistral winds blowing thru but wouldn't risk it again.

Oh dear...in June! I know there was a heatwave over the Mediterranean this year but hoping next year might be different....

We have been to lesvos too -pre DC, so would have been out of the school hols, and that was lovely. I think it would have been end of summer as we tended to go then back the those days !

Wigeon - go on the website accuweather. type in a location for both of these islands and go to July 2017 where it says weather by month. these are real recorded shade temps. sometimes websites under or over play the temperature.

we were in Sardinia this summer during the heatwave. It may 33 degrees we had at the start of the holiday seem pleasant. I wouldn't risk it again as I'm not good with the heat.
