I have completely mis-understood the highway code, for a long time apparently. I just can't find an explanation, in the highway code which states .. "put your hazard lights on, whilst you PARK OUTSIDE OF THE TAKE-AWAY .... on double yellow lines... and cause other drivers considerable inconvenience bu HEY you put your HAZARD lights on, so you think you re covered??????!!!! NO you are not, you are a pest!

Ah, yes - the "Park Anywhere Lights". An optional extra, I think, a bit like indicators on a BMW.

it also applies outside schools, it seems, for people who appear perfectly able-bodied.

we've got a booze shop on a busy corner, and there is always some dickhead parked there blocking the view, because they are too idle to walk further for their swill.

Tea Story, thank you. I loved your comment, and it made me smile! It also made me wonder, would it be "legal" to actually shoot those lazy and self centred people who simply don't bother to use their indicators,.... so whilst you wait desperately patiently to come out of a junction, and you COULD have, if only the lazy person driving had indicated they were turning, so you could have pulled out! ... and then you miss the gap!?
