Thorpe Park stopped early due to weather - refund?

Hi. The 4 of us went to Thorpe Park yesterday, arrived at 11am. Got on 3 rides. Had lunch. Queued at 2pm for next ride, arrived at top of the queue at 2.55pm and they stopped all rides due to windy weather. Do understand safety issues. We left at 3.30pm, as did appear everyone else. Has anyone ever got free tickets for another day under these circumstances? We had 2 for 1 vouchers, so paid £114 including parking. Thanks for any feedback.

Not that park, but once went to Chessington and two of the "big" rides were closed for some reason. We got free passes to use another day that season.

We went to chessington and several of the rides were closed for various reasons so we got vouchers to come back again for £10 each.

We were also at Alton towers when the smiler crashed and were able to go back again for free with our tickets.

(Yes it seems to be a Chilli family curse, we were also at Oakwood and the big rollercoaster broke down!)

We were at a theme park recently and the rides stopped for two periods due to thunderstorms. We stayed (undercover) and the rides reopened. The queues were then really short, so we packed lots of rides into our last hour.

I suspect that leaving early while the park was still open means you couldn't claim anything as the rides may have reopened later.
