can anyone reccomend somewhere to go on easter sunday? we are in newark whick is on the nottinghanshie/lincolnshire border. i dont mind travelling an hour or so and my dd is 17 months. on weekends we usually go shopping or to a farm park, but all the shops will be shut, and the farm parks will be packed out, so im racking my brain where to go.i realise most places will be really busy but i dont mind if the place is good. has anyone been to twin lakes?

I don't know if you DD might be a bit young (but she will get in free) to go to Sundown Adventureland. It's for under 10s
The website is
www.sundownadventureland.co.uk

If you want to have a look.

twin Lakes is good but will be heaving. Probably too old for your lo. Try Manor Farm at East Leake . It has lovely clean animals, I think they will be doing an egg hunt and they have lots of little tikes ride on toys which she will enjoy. Tea shop is fine too.

just being a bit of a cheapskate, would you consider taking your LO to a garden centre? Some of the bigger ones have animals in them (rabbits, fish, hamsters) which are fun to look at,they will often let you hold them too. They do tend to be open on bank holidays.

just a thought
