Skiing with baby

I have a week on my own with my baby (will be 15 months) in January and I thought a mid-week ski trip might be nice (partner doesn't ski). Does anyone have any recommendations for good places?

I was thinking a shared catered baby friendly chalet where it was possible to arrange a babysitter for a few hours during the day would be nice. I'd like to ski for a couple of hours and then spend the rest of the time exploring town / playing with my baby. Near to the slopes, short transfer and good skiing would also help.

Midweek is gonna make it tricky to find a catered chalet. T4 Nannies and
Cheeky Monkeys Morzine are both nanny agencies who would do you the childcare if you find your own chalet and book separately.

VIP ski would do you a nanny and chalet in Morzine which would tick every box - great skiing, short transfer and catered chalet Sunday - Sunday.

There are lots of independent chalets in Morzine so you might get a midweek room and could use CMM for a nanny.

Esprit Ski, Mark Warner, Ski Famille all would have childcare.

I think you might find it easier in a hotel? We have stayed in several hotels in Italy that offer babysitting like this one:

Yes hotel with babysitting will be easier, most companies don't allow children in shared chalets I think. Or hire a small apartment and use one of the nanny agencies suggested.

Thanks for the tips.

VIP ski looks quite good for a week long trip. They seem to have shorter breaks, but only available last minute which probably doesn't work for me. I'm also a little stunned by the price, but perhaps I'm out of touch. Swapping an adult for an infant saves only £75 (on £2,000+) despite only getting one seat on the plane and a lot less food! On the plus side nannies are cheaper than I thought.

I think a hotel would be fine, but it does mean being constrained to the hotel room. In my mind I thought I could use a baby monitor in the evening and perhaps even have a beer with another adult. I guessed that most chalets wouldn't like babies, but hoped there were some targeting this niche market.

In case this is useful for someone else, I've investigated this a bit more. Ski Famille (suggested above) seems very good. The chalets look perfect for families. The childcare cost is shared, so a bit cheaper, and they have reasonably sensible under occupancy charges. It does require a week long holiday, but perhaps I can make that sacrifice!
