i have decided i need a new passport, however on the forms you get from post office it says you can use the premium service but on their website it says you can't although probably too espensive anyway.

so just got my old passport out and realised the place of birth iput on here doesnt match the place of birth i put when i registered my childrens births and got their passports, although its near enough.

when i registered my first ones birth they asked me for fathers details first said was he born here and i said no and gave place and by the time she got to my details i was feeling tired from sleepless nights and was trying to settle baby and ended up getting my place of birth down wrong.

I contacted registrar general in southport they said place of birth doesnt matter that much as its still UK but if i wanted to change it i would need to provide my documents, and at the time didnt know where they were and didnt have the time or inclination to look.

So i left the birth certificates as they were and when i applied for childrens passports put my place of birth down as it was on the certificates as registrar had said it was ok and the two areas are within the same postcode area anyway but know wondering if it will be difficult to change my passport
