Hi, this is my first post on here. I'm going on holiday to Stalis in Crete next week and wanting some advise...my baby is combination fed but more so bottle (just the odd breast feed usually to settle him down on a night or first thing) he's currently on Aptamil 1. I've already planned on taking 60 bottles of pre made formula and a box of powder to be on the safe side incase of a growth spurt. Does anyone know if you can buy the formula in stalis? I also need advise on nappys, I'm assuming these can be bought in the supermarket, are they expensive? My baby isn't too sensitive and solely depends on one brand, we've used Pampers, Asda and Aldi with no problems. I'd rather not take too many nappys if I can get them over there at a similar cost.
Also people who have flown with babies before how have you fed them on the plane? I'm okay with getting there as I've ordered some pre made bottles to pick up at boots airside but I'm not sure what facilities there is in Heraklion airport? Do I just take my powder formula and sterilised bottles and make the bottles up once through customs? Or do they allow you to take the Aptamil bottles through? I use a tommee tippee machine at home so I've not got much experience making up bottles I've only done a few that's why I use the pre made ones when I'm out and about. I've heard airports make you open these pre made bottles and test them but if that's the case the milk only last two hours which wouldn't last my flight! Apologies for the long post, hopefully someone has experienced all this before and can help!
Many thanks xx
