Any recommendations for a luxury / top end 'campsite' in Southern France / Northern Spain?

For my sanity I need to plan and book a wonderful holiday to look forward to next year!!

We stayed in a nice campsite outside of Toulouse this year, in a 'tent lodge' type thing. Accommodation Very nice.. campsite. facilities ok but nothing to hanker after for a return visit.

Has anyone been to a place in Southern France or Northern Spain which has beach / pools / restaurants / bars? Ideally near an airport or port so we can hire a car..

Check out the Costa Brava or Barcelona bungalows, or the glamping on El Delfin Verde on Catalonia. They are gorgeous! The park has a great choice of restaurants and bars and is right on the beach. My kids loved the entertainment, great shows! Fly to Gerona 40 minutes, or Barcelona an hour and a half.

Not sure if these sites will be anywhere near your prefered area but sites we have stayed at and would recommend are
Criques de Porteils in Colliure, very beautiful location
Domaine de Massereau Sommières, Languedoc we have had some great family holidays at this site and easily walkable to lovely town always lots on

Our favourite Spanish sites are quite far down so quite a trek but we have stayed in a few sites around Sant Pere Pescador which isnt far from Girona Airport and plenty to do nearby

Huttopia sites are worth a look at too, quite a rustic feel the the sites

This place is lovely. Pool on a hill though but that means the views are spectacular! Restaurant was good and you can walk to local ones beside the campsite or further afield round the marina and into resort where there's a lot of choice!

You can fly to Perpignan then hire a cat, get the train or I think a taxi was around €50.

That's fab....all holidays should have a hire a cat service!!

Camping lamfora is about 40 minutes from Girona, on a very nice beach which is great for wind surfing.
