French general strike

I have booked to travel by train (in France) to an airport on the 13th September, which is the day after the general strike announced for the 12th.

In the UK I would assume that all the trains will be in the wrong place the day following a strike, does any MNetter living in France know if this is likely?

I have already booked bus travel instead, just as an insurance, but would much rather travel by train.

Heaven only knows. The unions are not as strong as they used to be so the general strike may not be widely followed. The Socialists have said that they don't support the strike.

I would guess things will be back to normal by the afternoon but the morning might be disrupted. But even on strike days there is often one in two trains running.

Thanks for that. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
