First time Italy recommendations?

Hello we usually go to Spain / Balearics etc on holiday but really want to try Italy but like most people want to do it on a budget in a caravan, mobile home etc.

Can anyone recommend any sites in Italy on or very near a beach with good pools and slides and facilities for an 11,6 and 3 year olds ? But ideally near places we can explore a bit of Italy too.

We were thinking of flying but does anyone drive ? We are in the southwest.

Thanks

Bella Italia, Peschieria, Lake Garda. Pools, slides etc, near to aqua park, theme park, days out to Verona and Venice , mountain cable car trip, lake with pedaloes etc.

Have a look at Union Lido. Huge site, right on the beach, 2 "aqua parks", day trips to Venice. I would combine it with another centre (we flew to Milan - fairly cheap with budget airlines, went to Lake Garda and did Gardaland etc, had a couple of nights in an agritourismo accommodation, then on to Union Lido and flew back from Bergamo).

Seconded. Nowhere like it, it's the best.

I'm also a massive fan of Lake Garda. I haven't stayed at Bella Italia as I prefer somewhere quieter, but there is so much to see and do round there, and the lake and scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, especially if you go up the lake on a ferry.
