Cyprus at Easter

Has anyone been at this time please. Making a shortlist of destinations for an Easter weeks holiday.
Is it hot enough for pool/ beach? Thanks.

Sounds like we are thinking the same Presently.

Yep, be good to get some feedback from people who have been there in Early April. We would be going around the 7th for a Week.

I don't expect it to be beach weather as such. But would like to be able to use a hotel pool, and dress in shorts and t shits during the day..
Looking at Sicily as well, the Canaries and Cape Verde.

DM and DF went there once at Christmas, and both came home after a week on the beach with glowing sun tans. We went at Easter and it snowed. I jest not. Snow. Real cold, wet, snow.

We wore t-shirts, but had to layer them up it was so cold. I believe that was extremely unusual though and the ILs, who went there regularly for years always always had lovely warm weather in March and April.

Can I join? we're looking at either Cyprus, the Canaries, Turkey or Egypt. Dp has it in his head both Turkey and Egypt aren't that safe. I've found a lovely resort in Egypt though.....so I'm trying to convince him!

If you are looking to sit by the pool and come back with a tan I'd rule Cyprus out. The weather there at that time of year is unpredictable. You could end up with a week of sunshine and 22 degrees but chilly at night or you could have a week of rain.

Predictable nice weather starts in June and ends at the end of October. The rest of the year can be beautiful or miserable!

I've been on 1st May and it was definitely warm enough to wear shorts and t shirts in the day but the pools were very cold. I remember not being able to stay in very long! I got married in Cyprus at the end of May and it was very hot then!

April is a bit unpredictable, generally chilly in the evening but warm/hot during the day if it's sunny.

It can get very windy and the wind makes it cold.

Rule out the pool, unless it's heated, the sea is just about bearable - on the brink of being too cold but not quite.

Don't bother with mountainous areas before June.

May is more predictable and the evenings start to get warmer.

I still have my tan from my end of April visit this year.

We go to Cyprus often. In my opinion it won't be warm enough at Easter. The pools and sea will be freezing, and it's chilly in the evening. Season really starts 1st June.
