Cheapest and best value October half term break

Just as the title says really. We would like to go somewhere warmish for October half term. DS would like to go to either Spain or Turkey, but I am open to suggestions. I'm not sure where to go to get the best value against the weak pound?

I personally wouldn't go to Turkey just now but I'm sure plenty of people would
We usually go to Spain in October half term and get lovely weather - look at Costa De La Luz, not so " Brits abroad" as other Costas
We have also been to Cyprus in October and that was lovely

The Costa del Sol will be good value and not too busy in low season. Try Fuengirola or Torremolinos which are easy to get to and near to Malaga for a day trip.

Turkey along the Mediterranean coast should be perfectly safe. Olu Deniz, Cirali, Bodrum, places like that. It will still be nice and warm and very good value.

I'd do the canaries in October, we went to Gran Canaria last year and had lovely weather.

What kind of temperatures are we talking about in the holidays mentioned?
