Looking at Keppervennen perhaps for next August... has anyone been? Kids will be 7 and 4. How do you manage grocery shopping if you fly- hire a car? Do you have to clean the lodge before you leave? How expensive are the restaurants and how much did you pay for extra activities?

Meant to say is the ferry the best option for getting there? We live near major ports on South Coast of UK.

I'm in de Vossemeron at the minute which is about 25 minutes away from Kempervenan (just over the Belgian border) and it's fabulous. We looked st both but knew we wouldn't use the skiing at K and there is a huge indoor play area here called discovery bay that the kids love.

I assume the restaurants are similar and we ate in the Italian restaurant tonight and it was 32 euros for 2 adult & 2 children's pizzas. The all you can eat buffet was 27 euros each which I thought was expensive given that the quality probably isn't great.

We are travelling around Belgium & the Netherlands so got the train over, it's probably 3ish hours to get here from Calais.

Haven't checked out yet but the only thing you are asked to do is strip the beds. We haven't done any paid for activities yet, just used the pool, discovery bay, beaches etc, happy to take s picture of the leaflet with prices on.

There is an ok supermarket on site but there are also local towns nearby if you wanted to go to s different supermarket.

Thanks for the info! Would you say a car is essential or would it be OK to fly?
