Barcelona: help needed

Hi MNs

first post.

Booked cheap flights to Barcelona for September and have spent hours looking for affordable accommodation.

DS wants wifi and beach; I prefer city location with good transportation links.

Accommodation needs to have good access to El Prat due to early flight when we leave.

Budget around £300 in total - i know it's small!. Not keen on hostels although I've heard Barcelona has some nice ones.

Does anyone have any ideas. Prepared to be open-minded.

Thanks.

We stayed in retrome Barcelona- not near the beach but very near girona metro. Book the room with the balcony- they have mini kitchens so we bought wine, meats and cheeses for a light meal on the balcony. Enjoy!

Have you tried airbnb? It's not clear how much you have per night but airbnb is great and reasonable.

I stayed in Eixample two weeks ago. WiFi included, reasonable price, look up Case Nova apartments. There were a few in.that area on booking
booking.com and it is close to airport and beach aswell as all the usual places to visit 😃

We've just come back from Barcelona and stayed at the Capri by Fraser it was lovely. Quite modern and funky, it was an apartment so the kids slept on the sofa bed in the lounge, and we had a seperate bedroom. This was bliss after a week in Salou in possibly the smallest hotel room I've ever been in!

It was slightly more than your £100 budget but we went August, not sure if prices will drop in September???

It is very close to the 'Marina' metro station, about 10 minute walk to the beach, took us about 25 minutes to the Sagrada Familia, about 30 minutes and 35Euros in a taxi to the airport.

Also the wifi was free and brilliant!

I'd definitely recommend it.

Have a lovely holiday

We've used Bonavista apartments. They are lovely.

How about the Hotel Catalonia Sagrada Familia? Its near El Clot Arago station and the airport train goes directly from there. Its on Booking.com
