Web searches have no nearby lidos and I'm not after 'aqua parks' with wave machines and inflatables, more of an old fashioned paddling pool for kids really, or somewhere with really shallow streams or the over to play in.

Any ideas?

Not quite what you asked for - but fab www.stanwicklakes.org.uk/
My friend and I took out kids when they were 6 & under and they just loved it.

Thanks squirrels. It's local to us but not quite what Im after. No paddling pool!

I've just thought of Bourton on the water actually. Shallow stream through the middle of the village and cream teas to boot Grin

I've looked everywhere from reservoir country parks to English Heritage sites and only just remembered Bourton.
