A car seat?

spinach · 01/04/2007 11:31

car seats are too large if you have 2 kids in the trailer

i have no experience but if head and upper body not supported maybe 5 months is too little?

When we got our trailer it said not for babies under 1 year! We started putting DS in after about 10 months. I think the only way to do it is using a car seat!

ditto carseat recommendation, Just strap it down tight in every way possible. This is entirely against all the safety regs and manuf. advice, of course. Stick an older child on a childseat on the bike, if nec.

I don't think shes too young, I just need the proper product, which I've now found. its a trailer seat designed for babies. obviously i wasnt going to shove her in the trailer without adequate support! I'm not an idiot.

We transported them in carseat inside the trailer from about 4 weeks, Iirc. If they're okay in the carseat, they're okay in the carseat in the trailer (provided seat is tightly strapped in).

The manuf. would say that the seat isn't designed for that and neither are the trailer straps, hence the strong advice not to (to prevent them from being sued when you do it, anyway).
