Hi

We are planning to go to Rome April 2018 - any tips on best areas to look at staying for 2 adults.

Thank you

Hi, I liked Trastevere a lot. Fairly central with loads of nice restaurants and bars. All a bit hidden. I'd avoid the area around Termini station. Can become quite uncomfortable and very noisy.

Stay away from Termini!

Trastevere is nice and well connected with a tram stop.

We stayed near Campo di Fiori on the Via del Pellegrino - also loads of lovely restaurants, 2 minutes walk from Piazza Navona and on to Trevi Fountain.

Generally don't eat on any main piazza but on side streets, definitely not on the Piazza Navona - food will be grim and overpriced, but there will be fantastic food for half the price a stone's throw away.

Nearer the Colisseum it's also quite hit and miss for places to eat.

Monti is nice for food but less convenient for sightseeing.
