Where should we go on holiday ?

To my shame I've been on holidays but never actually booked one....

I need a holiday for 2 adults, 2 children. Our requirements are a beach, swimming pools, family friendly really.

I was looking to book for October half term - but will we have missed all the sun ?
Would we be better waiting for next year ?

We've never had a holiday before, and we've had some tough times. We deserve one. Please help wise people

(Budget 2,000 +) thanks

Age of DCs? How busy/hot do you want?

Ages 6 & 4. Somewhere hot ideally but with shortish flight as DS has autism and not sure how he'll cope with flying...

For this year you really need to look at the canaries for more or less guaranteed warmth

For next year have a look at Carvoeiro in the Algarve - I live here and think it could be a possibility for you

Depending on your definitions of hot and flight length.

Algarve or Costa del Sol might still be hot/warmish. Better chance of still hot in Canaries but flight longer (4-5 hours from UK depending on where you are, compared to around 3 hours to Malaga or Faro?).

If the UK airports suit, you could try putting your requirements into the deals section of jet2holidays and see what comes up.
