Terrified of DSs flying

DSs, 9 and 7, are flying back from holiday tonight with their dad. The flight is from Luxembourg to Heathrow so only just over an hour. I have a real fear of flying and am literally terrified that something will happen to the plane. I feel sick at the thought of them getting on it. I usually follow the plane on flight tracker but so nerve wracking. Can anyone reassure me?

It helps me to think about the people who work on the planes.they hop on and off planes like we get on and off a bus or in and out of our cars. I have a friend who is cabin crew for BA and has been flying for years. I think of him getting on and off the planes daily and how normal it is.

Thanks Arcadia. That does help! Turns out the flight was fine and they got home safely. I often think about all the celebrities who fly all the time and they never seem to be involved in plane crashes. x
