The Hamptons/Montauk

Hi
Has anyone holidayed around this area in July/August?
I'm so torn on where to have our main holiday next year. We seem to be flitting between Italy, island hopping in Greece or The Hamptons/Montauk area with a couple of nights in Brooklyn at the end.

I'm sure some MNs must have been here? I've seen quite a few that live in the New York area.

We stayed for 3 nights in The Hamptons 1770 House in July. Very relaxed area, lots of lovely places to eat. Weather warm and sunny. Coast great but a bit breezy.

And we saw Ina and Jeffery.

Did you drive there or hobby train?

It was part of a family (me DH and mid teens DC) two week driving holiday from Boston, Cape Cod, via Providence R I and New London ferry to Long Island, drive in to Manhattan.

We had a great time.
