Morning everyone

I'd like to plan a trip for October 2018. From what I've read parks aren't at peak in terms of numbers but still busy.

Our school holidays are the middle two weeks but I wonder if there is any benefit of going first two weeks and taking DS out of school.....we are Scotland so no fine in doing so. This would be 29th September for 2 weeks rather than 5/6 October.

Has anyone been in October can give any advice in terms of weather and how busy the parks are?

Also, a friend has suggested the Sonesta Suites on international drive but Disney are offering free dining in a Moderate hotel. Is the dining option work it over self catering/more space? Dining seems to be 2 meals and snacks a day.

The first two weeks of Florida weather can be wet as you come to the tail end of the hurricane season.

Things are much drier and less humid towards the back end and November ( though still hot).

I would go for a suites based hotel overall because you will have more space. Also this hotel do breakfast for their guests as part of the room rate.

I know where the Sonesta Suites is located and there is a plethora of restaurants around there. Its well located and that area of I Drive is a nice part of I Drive to stay on. Also this suites based hotel has laundry facilities (which can be a plus as well).

I would look more closely at this Disney deal re their exact terms and conditions before booking. They would be offering you the Quick Service Dining Plan which is two self service meals (the free Disney Dining plan is available to guests staying at Deluxe hotels).

Thanks both. Just spoke with DH about the food plan. He'd rather chose where we eat so looks like the suites. I like that the suites also have a shuttle bus we can use if we decide not to drive. DH drives for a living so this is a good option to have.
