Will Zante be warm enough for swimming in May half term?

Just that really, know may need a cardigan in the evening but has anyone been late May? Would it be warm enough to swim in an unheated swimming pool? Don't want to go to further south, we are real Ionian Island fans but haven't been this early in season before. Thanks.

I would have thought so. We were there at the end of June into the start of July and it wasn't below 40 our entire week.

It was so hot we said we'd never do Greece again in the school holidays, only may or september.

The day after we came back 47 was forecast.

We went in May 2015 and it was around 23-27 daytime temps and although the pools were a bit chilly we were still happy to swim, once you're in it's fine! We had a water park passes with out hotel too, we went to twice, and lots of kids and adults in and out pools all day.

Even 8month old was in the pool (with neoprene suit).

We always go either May or Sept and it's lovely. We've just booked Canaries in July and I'm slightly anxious about the Temps!

Thanks both, fingers crossed should be ok.
ivisimamma, hope July in Canaries is ok for you, it was really hot when we were in Zante at the end of July, early August. I'm not great in the heat but managed thanks to the air con, pools and trying to do most trips in morning or evening.

Put it this way it was warm enough to swim in the sea in northwest Scotland this may half term. Albeit somewhat bracing....

Yes

Lol to Scotland, I've done that many a time in my youth. Thanks for reality check.

I've turned in to a right softie Blush

I went the last week in October and the swimming pools were freezing because they are heated only by the sun. Not sure at the beginning of the season but may be similar.

Just to add May & October are the beginning and end of the season.
