Driving to Morzine

On Sunday.... got 4 DS (youngest is 3.)
Starting to wonder if we should have booked an overnight stay...getting the Dover/Calais ferry. Anyone done it and got any tips? How long will it take approx?

Audiobooks in our family plus water and snacks. I guess it is 9 hours from Calais to the alps. Ours sleep a bit and play on iPads too. French service stations are much better than here in the U.K.
