Hi all, would really appreciate some Mumsnet help to find the right holiday villa and my eyes are boggling trawling the Internet.

I'm after a pretty decent/luxury (ish) villa for 6 adults and 7 children. For May half term 2018. Kids aged from 10 months - 5 years. 6 bedrooms minimum. Private pool, nice outdoor/BBQ area. Short haul so Spain/Balearics, Portugal, south of France, Italy are all ok. Ideally within walking distance of beach, bars and shops but would also get hire cars so could drive to shops. Looking for something child friendly so enclosed gardens, possibly and play area and somewhere that provides cots/highchairs.

Am I asking too much?! Any recommendations greatly received Smile

We generally have a smaller villa but I can recommend bartle holidays. They specialise in menorca, know all their villas and are honest.
We like cala galdana.

We've used James Villa holidays in the past and had a great experience.

Bitofabelly I've seen that one on my Internet villa searching binges that I've been having. Looks great but sadly too small. Should've put in my original post that it needs to be 6 beds. The quest goes on.......Shock

Mando thanks will look into bartle. Never heard of them before. I've had a look on James villas but they seemed a bit overpriced to me. Might give it another look though

Have a look at villa Borboleta in Carvoeiro, walking distance to the village (about 10 mins downhill)

Bartle are a very small company but they take credit cards and they are bonded. We have used them on and off for about 15 years. I am very fussy, not bothered about luxury as such but want somewhere that is immaculate and maintained to the highest standards and I have never have never been disappointed.
They are villa only, you book your own flights.

Simpson travel Majorca will have something lovely and they include flights and car hire too

Villa plus have some bigger villas and their website is very informative and gives loads of info, photos etc on each villa. I think you'll find in school holidays prices are the same no matter which company you book through.

We had a great experience with James Villas this year. I'd recommend having a look at their classic collection.

Costacoffee that looks amazing and just what I'm after. Sadly it's not available on the dates we wanted. Shame

NC4 I have had a look on their website but didn't get very far. They didn't seem to have many villas that I could see. Will give them another chance though seeing as a few have mentioned them

Have you tried emailing the owner to check - just in case?
