Ideas for U.K. Long weekends

We are hoping to do a couple of long weekends away in the next couple months with our 18m DS.

Any ideas? Recommendations on places to stay in the UK

We were thinking of going to Peppa Pig Land on one of the weekends (DS is obsessed with the show!) anyone know of any good places to stay near there?

Thank you!

Xxxx

We did a long weekend in a cottage near bath...did bath, Bristol (aquarium, city bus tour) Stonehenge and longleat safari park. It was great! All quite close together so not much driving.

looe in cornwall is lovely and when we go we stay here

also don't forget places like Bath, Cardiff, North Wales, Southwold all of which are great for short breaks and easy to find good places to stay.

you can save the foreign travel for when your little one is a bit older when you can do a long weekend at Disneyland paris!

I think an eighteen month old child will love anything as long as you are happy and relaxed and spend lots of time chatting and showing stuff to her and there's pedestrianised space where she can run around and the odd playground.

York and Bath are both nice. London is great as long as there's two of you to manage the buggy on escalators.

You could stay near Winchester. Beautiful city. That's not far from PPW. Then another day maybe Marwell Zoo, not far from Winchester either. Take a drive through the New Forest etc. It's a lovely part of the country.

If you fancy somewhere with a bit more of a buzz we stayed at the Premier Inn in Southampton next to West Quay shopping Centre. Lovely new hotel, lots of shops and restaurants. It's only 20 minutes drive from Peppa Pig World and a good base for visiting other parts of the New Forest, Beaulieu, Bournemouth etc.

Amazing thank you very much for the tips!

Definitely not up for doing abroad at the moment DS is into everything!
