Looking to go to Dublin first weekend in December with a group of female friends. Have stayed previously in the Jurys inn (custom house) and the Harcourt Hotel by St stephens green. Jurys inn a bit souless and the Harcourt was party central- looking for something a bit in between.
I have seen the Arlington but not sure if it looks a bit tired?

The Arlington can also be fairly noisy too but I like it overall. There used to be an Irish dancing show downstairs which was actually excellent. Handy location.

We did a similar thing in February and stayed at the Cassidy's Hotel. It seemed to be a 10-15 min walk to anywhere and had a bit of character to it. It wasn't cheap but then again, nothing is in Dublin. ATO-TOURS got us a group rate though as we were 12 people, so it wasn't too bad.

Buswells is absolutely lovely. It's on Molesworth St, a couple of minutes walk from Grafton Street. It's on a quiet street but not far at all from the hustle and bustle.

I'm from Dublin and live in London. On my last trip home with friends, we got an airbnb as I found the hotels to be very expensive and I was able to pick a location that I knew woudl work for us rather than believing some of the rubbish written on different postings!

We got a two bed that was on Pearse Street (Wintergarden apartments).
Close enough to all the action, walking distance or short taxi/bus to the very centre of Dublin2 mins walk to the dart, but not party central so quiet too. Also, the apartment wasn't facing onto tthe main road, so no road noise either. We stayed in this
Dublin Airbnb rental. It's also very close to where the bus from the airport drops you off and collects you.

I'd highly recommend it. I have no link to the rental of this flat btw!
