hi hoping someone out there can help me. Just booked my first ever holiday with my best friend - a week in greece. I booked as lead passenger on my own computer. Now i realised that the autofill has put my name down as jacqui instead of jacqueline like my passport. I booked with loveholidays and the flight is with thomas cook. Contacted book and thomas cook wont change the details - told me to go back to loveholidays. They have just contacted me and said i now need to pay £95 in charges to correct 5 letters! £25 charge from them and £35 each way from Thomas cook. I am devasted - its taken me so long to save for this holiday. Any one got any experience of winging it? I have never used the name jacqueline in my life hence the auto fill putting jacqui instead. I dont know what to do. thanks

Unfortunately the name on your booking has to match your passport.
I dont think there is any way round it.
It is a bit steep I agree, but thet have got you over a barrel.

Try tweeting them very politely. It's amazing how much better customer services are when everyone can see their reply!

Yeah the more ive looked into it the more ive been kicking myself for making such a silly but very costly mistake A friend of mine said wing it but i cant risk not being allowed to board as it wouldnt be fair on my best friend as she then wouldnt go alone. Ive paid today - although very very relucatantly! thnaks

When did you book it, sometimes you can change it within a short timeframe.

Same happened to us. With Ryanair, who you'd imagine might be awkward. But, no, resolved for no fee within 24 hours of flying.

I did this with a Flybe booking going to a family funeral.

I was totally skintoid and rang them crying down the phone and they waived the charge [blish] thank you Flybe
