Thinking of going here in September. I have a toddler so was thinking somewhere near a beach would be good. Any recommendations?

We went to Torre San Giovanni three years in a row.
We went to the beach most days (Lido, should be on Trip Advisor) and used this agency for self catering apartments.
www.costedelsud.it They do the whole of Salento and the site is clear and easy to use. No complaints but you do need a car.

I live in Puglia. Best beaches are south (Salento) or the Gargano (my favourite) on the "spur" of the heel. It will be fairly quiet in September- kids all back at school and the unwritten rule that seems to have Italians believing that beaches are a no-no after the beginning of September.
