Does it matter how long you have left on your passport if you want to travel to America?

Dp less than year on passport and due to fly to Chicago in May will this matter ?

think you have to have at least 6 mths

you can renew your passport if there is less than 1 year left on it and get that time added on. So if you have 6 months left on it and renew, it will last for 10 years and 6 months.
