Hi we are getting the ferry over to Jersey this summer. Can anyone recommend good places to visit or go out to eat with two small children please? Thanks in advance!

Tamba park is great for young kids - my son LOVED the dinosaur walk, and when it rained in the afternoon there's a great indoor play area. Very children focussed though - not much for adults to do (though my husband loved the mini boating lake)

DD loved Durrells, the swimming pool in St.Hellier (went before our sailing back) and the Maritime Museum we also spent a lot of time going to beaches, Plemont with the caves and rock pools and St. Brelade were favourites.
Big Vern's diner at St. Ouen's Bay was good with the kids.

We upgraded to Ocean Plus on the fast ferry, shorter queues to get drinks and all important power sockets. It was definitely worth the extra. If you are going on the fast ferry make sure you have insurance, it is known for breaking down and indeed did so when we were on Jersey and although we had no problems with our sailing, some people had been stuck for several days which we heard about on the way back. (Take travel sickness tablets for the fast ferry.)
