Holidays with teens - holiday village/ TUI family magic/campsite

I feel overwhelmed. Don't want to spend fortunes but want to go somewhere where teens are safe to wander off and make friends etc and the food isn't awful. I've been looking at swim up rooms at horrendous prices - I think separate sleeping areas would be good though. Any ideas?

Neilson are great, can get adjoining rooms. Pricey in the holidays but really good outside of peak or last minute

They are really expensive though!

We've done HV but our kids are younger than teens and I'm not sure teens would appreciate some of the entertainment. Maybe it depends on the specific location and age of the teens but it was mostly younger kids when we went. It's a lot of £££ if they don't get much out of it

Mine don't like that sort of holiday anymore (13) and have requested private villa with pool and wifi this year, much to my delight! Cheaper too. They loved making friends on campsites etc when they were younger though.

We just had a normal hotel with a mix of nationalities this year. Kids were happy to have their own key and potter about, swimming at the bar, in the games room. They didn't want to leave and go to the shops themselves though.
