Seychelles for Christmas with dc

No summer holiday this year so we're planning a winter sun break for Christmas. I would like to go to the Seychelles and just looking for some ideas for a 2 week itinerary.

Anyone have any recommendations? We would be happy to change hotel once. We will be with our baby and 3.5 year old. We would like to stay in a hotel with a restaurant/bar and pool but not all inclusive. Would like to see if there are any places where there is are some independent bars or restaurants we can go to. We don't really like being stuck in the same complex for the whole trip.

I would choose elsewhere. The weather is pretty damp and only 6 hours of sun a day in December. Look at Mauritius maybe?

Oh I was under the impression that Mauritius and Seychelles were of a similar climate in December? Will have another look into that. Thanks.

You will still see some rain in Mauritius but lots more sun in between.

Thanks. Was indeed another idea due to convenient flights and time difference. If not also considering the Caribbean or Thailand but we've been there quite a few times so want somewhere new.
