I'm off tomorrow and wondered if anyone has just come back? Looks awful in the papers!

Iv been reading about this. Palma is the worse hit with the queues. I'm going to Tenerife Sunday so trying to find info but there isn't a great deal. Can only suggest getting there even earlier to allow for queues for security.

I'm off there on Saturday. I'm in a Mallorca group on Facebook and people who've arrived recently have mostly said things have been all right, but I think we'll just have to wait and see what happens. At least it's a short flight there so won't be very tired before we get there.

Those queues in the papers look like they are people who just got off flights and are trying to get through passport control. My advice would be to buy bottles of water and snacks on the plane and go to the toilet on the plane so that you are prepared for a very long queue. If you have hand luggage you can sit on that will give a bit of respite as well. Lots of airports are getting like this, I recently went on holiday and there was an elderly couple who had not sat down for 2.5 hours (queueing). Neither had we and I felt crappy so I can only imagine how they felt with much older legs.

I was there at the weekend, and it was fine. I went through the self serve passport control though, which really helped.

Well, doesn't sound too bad then hopefully. Plus flying mid week I'm hoping won't be quite as busy!!
