We have just come back from a holiday in Cala Bona in Majorca, me, DH and DD who is 8. We like Cala Bona because of the harbour and walk down to Cala Millor. We also like it because it's not all 'Brits Abroad' but has the tat shops etc and lots of places to eat out because we do SC.

We've been to Cala Bona for the past 2 years and for the 2 years prior to that Sa coma. We have also had a few holidays in the Port of Alcudia.

I'm looking for recommendations of places to look for next years holiday. We now don't necessarily need a kids club because DD was a bit 'meh' about it this year but would like a good pool where there will be other children for DD to play with. We'd like a leisurely evening walk with restaurants etc, but for it not to be 'brits abroad' such as the area in Benidorm. We are happy to go to Spain mainland, the Islands, canaries and greek islands.

TIA

Anywhere in Menorca

Also Cavtat in Croatia.

Hotel Croatia - indoor and outdoor pools.

Stroll down to bay area for bars, restaurants and ice cream. We went half board but if we went back we'd go b&b because it's still really cheap to eat out.

Sahara Sunset Club in Benalmadena. Lovely hotel, lovely (but not too far) walk to the marina with lots of nice restaurants and great bus links to old towns like Mijas.

Thank you all. I will take a look.

I don't know mainland Spain at all but in my mind, which I know is all wrong, I think of it being like 'Benidorm' with lots of Irish and English bars, Full Englush Breakfast for €3 etc.

Allthebest my first holiday abroad was to Cavtat 30 years ago. The locals thought my Dad was George Best GrinShock

Not all of Spain is like Benidorm. Nice places to go include Estepona, Nerja, Calpe, Tossa de Mar, or the beaches at Barcelona, Alicante or Malaga. Loads more too.

Cala DOr in Mallorca is also nice.
