Where to stay on way home from Switzerland?

We are driving from Interlken, Switzerland to Calais in two weeks time.

We want to break the journey up overnight. Any suggestion of where is a nice place to stop, sleep and mooch?

Troyes is lovely. Best food market in France IMO. Or maybe Luxembourg City. Or even Trier, but that isn't on a direct route.

Hi, I'd highly recommend taking a small detour and stay in Baden Baden, Germany.
