French Centre Parcs

Hi - I recently read on a thread somewhere that Centre Parcs in France were decent and cheaper than UK. We usually do Eurocamp and the ability to pay £99 deposit then in chunks before we go really works for us.

So can anyone tell me please - when we book Centre Parcs France do we have to pay the whole lot at once?

Also, I can't seem to book for Summer 2018 yet - any idea when next year's dates are released please?

Thank you - any other reviews or opinions or hints/tips gratefully received. We're branching out and feeling brave Grin

Belgium and Netherlands ones are even cheaper

Thanks, that's good to know. Have you been? How would you rate your holidays there?

My sister went to one of the French Centerparcs last year and was very disappointed, she felt the standard was poor compared to UK CPs

Thanks Silver - do you know which one? We've never been to UK Centre Parcs so couldn't compare and usually stay in a caravan with Eurocamp do I wonder how they compare?!

We've done Les Bois Francs several times, and also Elvedon, Sherwood and Longleat in the UK (we live in France)

If you'd asked me a few weeks ago I would have sung the praises of the French one over the UK ones every time, but we went again to Les Bois Francs at the beginning of July and it's really gone downhill. The chalet wasn't clean - they did come and clean it and change the bedding and give us a credit when we complained, but still - hairs in the bed?! We felt the site had just become a bit...rundown somehow too. Tatty. One of the restaurants has closed down. Just all felt a bit shabby. That said, it's way cheaper, the staff, activities and pool are good - the pool area is way better than any of the UK ones. And DS2 didn't get Norovirus like he did at Sherwood Hmm

They are opening a brand new Center Parcs near Disneyland Paris - it looks amazing.

You can now see the prices for next year and May half term works out less than half the price of the UK as French schools are at school that week.
