Anyone stayed in Parc des Roches outside Paris? Would love to know what you thought before I book it! TIA

Following with interest!

We went here years ago (I was 10) and it was fabulous. Would love to hear what's it's like now as we are considering it for next year.

Saucepanman · 30/07/2017 11:34

That's good to know! I felt it was a fairly central location for what we need (Calais, DLP, mont st Michel) but trip advisor reviews are mixed. It's cheap though!

Ok le chene gris is one, it's right by train station, 45 mins to Paris and 20 to dlp. Good reviews all over the place. There is one more with huge beach and water sport.

Augustwashout · 06/08/2017 09:07

Camping De jablines is the other one.

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 09/08/2017 17:57

Le chene Gris is okay... had a couple of nights there. Good pool for kids, but not much else, and the area is pretty non descript, so I'd only recommend as a base if you're going on day trips every day.

Augustwashout · 09/08/2017 19:43

Howmanysleepstilchristmas

Have you been to jablines or bernies - both campsites near ish there. The thing that appealed to me about les chine was train station 40 mins to paris right by park

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 10/08/2017 07:06

No, looked at both. Have booked les etangs fleuris which is nearer but not there yet. Reviews look great, can let you know how it is in a few weeks if you want?

Augustwashout · 10/08/2017 08:56

Yes please!!

Howmanysleepstilchristmas · 02/09/2017 07:07

Ok, l'm here! Les etangs fleuris is my definite recommendation. It's a lovely quiet site, really pretty and surrounded by nature, the perfect place to relax after dlp, but loads of trips out in easy reach. Really safe and friendly for kids, and small enough for them to explore. 2 playgrounds that entertain all my dc age 4-12, swimming pool (smaller than in pics but still good), table tennis, football.... but so so quiet. Highly recommend. Way better than de Cheney Gris

Augustwashout · 02/09/2017 15:18

Thanks how and have you been to Berny reiver too compare

Augustwashout · 02/09/2017 15:20

Sorry am I'll with near flu and not concentration can see you not Been there Blush

MiniCooperLover · 10/09/2017 18:07

We haven't stayed in the park you mention but we have done Berny Riviere twice, the most recent in July with Canvas. We've always stayed with Eurocamp before and this stay reminded me why Canvas are usually cheaper ..: the static caravan was very very old and tiny. The rest of the park has updated all of its accommodations but not Canvas.

Latoy · 11/11/2023 08:17

Avoid avoid the caravan had beetles/ something looking like german cockroach running around. Bed most uncomfortable. But the decking was the worse not washed for years and full of Moss and dirt which caused me to fall over and i ended up in A&E back in UK. Now have long term knee injury. No apology and staff was very rude.In fact the reception was always crowded with people complaining. Avoid this holiday company.
