Just wondering about taking our 14 month old - stuff to do, how well catered for, is the creche any good (recognise we'd need to stay with him) etc

Also any advice on food / taking milk would be great

Thanks for any tips / views!

Me - it's fantastic. You'll get all the baby/toddler paraphernalia given to you and will be looked after superbly. They will make sure you have absolutely everything. I can't recommend it enough. I've been 3 times - once with a 6 month old. It's an easy holiday.

The crèche is fabulous. We only used the kids' club when one of ours was older but she loved it. At the time, I wished her nursery at home was as professionally run.

On site, the Whale Restaurant is superb for children, as are their two beach restaurants at Armacao de Pera. There's a Vila Vita shuttle bus to both and it's well worth using. Very child friendly- we love Arte Nautica but Praia Dourada is good too.

There's a brilliant Intermarche on the top road, just a short stroll away. They have everything you'll need. The sand festival (Fiesa) at Porches is a short taxi ride and you'll all love that. Beware- it will be hot!

We were last there n February. I'm now writing this on holiday in Greece and vaguely wishing I was off to Vila Vita instead. You will love it.
