majorca weather in may

just a quick bit of info really. we are going to majorca for a week on 8th may and i was just wondering what the weather will be like? will it be warm enough for outdoor pool/beach? are the evenings warm? hope it will be as this is the only holiday we'll have this year and really need a bit of sun, thanks

We went 4 years ago the weather was about 25 during the day. We were on the coast at Sa Coma, evening needed a cardi.

thanks for the reply. 25 would be fine. i was just worried that we'd booked a bit early for really nice weather.

We've gone to both Majorca and Menorca in May. Weather very mixed - can be very hot, warm or freezing cold. I would take warm clothes / fleeces and umbrella just in case.

We went to Majorca last year for the last week in May. Our first and last day were hot and sunny. All the days in between it absolutely lashed it down and it was freezing as well. Really dark and miserable. I was ready to get a plane home.

It was a disaster so hope you have better luck!!

And just before we went the forecast was for 30 and sunny every day so it was totally and utterly wrong.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news!

The week after that my SIL was in Majorca and she got 30 and sunny every day. So hope you do!

we went on May 2nd a few years ago. 13 of the 14 days it was absoutely baking in the day - i managed to fry my back - chilly at night time, I remember rummaging around about 3am for extra blankets as I was so cold & one day it absolutely lashed it down all day from the minute we got up till we went to bed but was boiling again the next day.

it depends where in majorca really. we went to magaluf one year end of march and the weather was glorious. went to alcudia in may and it was awful for the first 4 days,warm but showery the rest of week.
just like this country really-the further south you go the hotter it gets.
