TUNISIA - is it worth buying a guide book as a birthday pressie for my friend?

It's my friend's birthday this week and I thought it might be nice to buy her a book on Tunisia as a present because she is going there on holiday in a few weeks.
I have heard, however, that there's not a right lot to do in Tunisia, other than stay in your fully inclusive resort. Is this true?
Would it be a waste of time or a good idea to buy a guide book?

depends how she's doing it - if backpacking etc then Rough Guide / Lonely Plant v good buy.

If she's staying in a hotel or a resort, get her something else nice for the holiday instead.

Lonely Planet, even

if she is staying in an all inclusive resort then it won't be much use as she is unlikely to go to most of the places featured

what about some make up

Thanks, might have a look for a nice beach bag for her.
