Flying for the first time in 30 years soon. Travelling with hubs, Laddo (15) and girlie (18). Laddo and girlie have never flown.

It's no secret I'm pooping myself over this 4 and a half hour flight, but are there any general dos and don'ts that you guys can offer me?

Other info, we have booked the in flight meal for the trip out. We fly around 3pm, bags are weighed and we are slightly under, carry ons meet the spec size, and all meds come with copies of scrips from the doctors. Our friends live where we are going and have stocked up with toiletries for us, so we are not carrying deodorant, soap, shampoo, etc. I've purchased day glo green luggage straps, and tags which say "we love baggage handlers".

Please tell me we won't crash!

You will be fine. Honestly fine. Enjoy your holiday nhave a drink at the airport and relax.

You'll have a great time. Arrive in good time at the airport, have an (overpriced) drink to get you in the spirit then buy a big bottle of water to drink on the plane. Download a film or some podcasts to while away the flight/take your focus if you feel anxious about flying - something you know you will like. Although not a long flight, I'd take earplugs too to drift off! Hope you all have a great trip!

Thanks for replying. Will pack the ear plugs in my carry on bag. (Hubs snores so I'm used to wearing them)

Xx
