Meant to be amazing. Friends say it is perfectly safe, like Dubai, i'm nervous. WWYD?

Agree Beirut's meant to be amazing but I wouldn't go to Dubai either - that kind of fake enclave with poverty and oppression propping it up isn't something I could ever be comfortable with. Recipe for civil unrest , in my view.
