We'll be in Venice on DH's birthday, and I'd like to book somewhere a bit special for an evening meal.
Doesn't have to be swish: a comfortable, friendly place with good food would be perfect - but somewhere with a bit of character, and which doesn't feel like it's a conveyor belt for tourists.
We'll have DD(4) with us, so needs to be somewhere where taking (usually well-behaved) children is appropriate.
It's in about a month, so we have a bit of time if we need to book ahead.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
