Where to eat near Gatwick

We will be staying in a Gatwick hotel as we have an early flight. Rather than eat in the hotel or airport, I was thinking of eating somewhere away from the airport. We can take a train or a taxi there. I know there is a Cote and in Horsham but was looking for alternatives.

Which terminal are you flying from? Because the South Terminal has a Grainstore which is actually really decent and less hassle than travelling.

Otherwise, there's the Box Park by East Croydon that has a few OK places to eat and is a short train ride away.

We used to stay overnight in Horley (5 minute taxi away) and often walked to Ye Olde Six Bells pubs.

There are loads of restaurants in Crawley - most of the chains and a few independents. It's not the most beautiful town but you could even take the bus from the airport.

Depends what kind of food you want...
