Partners 30th birthday surprise!

I have a few ideas so far for a weekend away (just me & him) for his 30th birthday and would like to know what you think/which one you would think is best?

  • Ski break
  • Spa break
  • Weekend break either in Berlin or, really out there, Reykjavik (Iceland)

Thoughts? Any other suggestions?

Which is he likely to like best?

Unless mad about ski-ing, I think that might be the one to drop from the list, as travel time might outweigh time on the slopes. Or is your weekend a long weekend?

Friday - Monday (unless Spa break in UK then we'd just do a couple of days).

It's in January. He hs been skiing a couple of times and loves it, but I on the other hand have never done it and quite nervous about the idea!

Also, if your user name reflects your current ski-ing is out for you.

So if you want it to be a couple's holiday (perhaps last chance before baby arrives) that's another reason to go for a different choice.

Rekyavik- if you've never been skiing you won't get much out of a weekend . My DH would rather pins in his eyes than a spa break!

Iceland is incredibly expensive though!

European weekend break

(I'm not pregnant, set this account up in 2015)

I know, the expense of Iceland is quite off putting but it feels like such an amazing idea for a January 30th birthday, would be so memorable.. I just don't know if my credit card would thank me :|

Have you heard about ATO Tours, Confidential trips? It's a surprise holiday and ideal for weekend breaks. It also adds a bit of adventure to the whole thing.
